По его словам, в этом месяце впустую было потрачено около 60 часов, и из-за задержек иногда оказывалось «слишком поздно» продолжать поездки.
На сегодняшний день для гуманитарного транспорта в Газе открыты только три дороги: центральный маршрут через дорогу Салах аль-Дин, прибрежная дорога Аль-Рашид и военная дорога на восточной стороне Газы. «Ни разу за последний месяц и даже больше не было такого, чтобы три или хотя бы две из этих дорог работали одновременно», – заявил Макголдрик, добавив, что все автомагистрали находятся в очень плохом состоянии.

Вспоминая свой визит в больницу «Камаль Адван» две недели назад, представитель ООН отметил, что все дети там сталкиваются с опасным для жизни уровнем голода.
«Я видел ребенка в инкубаторе – это был двухдневный мальчик, который не был недоношенным, но он весил 1,2 кг. Это будет иметь долгосрочные последствия для развития этого ребенка», – рассказал он.
Подчеркнув необходимость прямой линии связи с израильскими военными, Макголдрик отметил, что нападение на автоколонну неправительственной организации World Central Kitchen две недели назад стало свидетельством тех опасностей, с которыми сталкиваются гуманитарные сотрудники в Газе.
«У нас должны быть портативные радиоприемники, УКВ-радиостанции, то есть все то, чем обычно пользуются в любой кризисной ситуации. У нас этого нет», – сказал он, отметив, что израильские власти не разрешили использовать такие приборы из-за опасений, что ими воспользуются боевики ХАМАС.
Медицинская ситуация
