UNESCO Backing Chernihiv’s Old Town Revamp – A Historic Boost!
С 18 по 22 марта 2024 года эксперты ЮНЕСКО и Международного совета по охране памятников и достопримечательных мест (ИКОМОС) посетили Чернигов в Украине для разработки плана действий по его реабилитации. Построенный в 9–13 веках, исторический центр города включен в Предварительный список Украины – в будущем он может войти в Список всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО.
В апреле 2023 года, во время визита в Чернигов и встречи с Президентом Украины Владимиром Зеленским, Генеральный директор ЮНЕСКО Одри Азуле взяла на себя обязательство поддерживать усилия по восстановлению Чернигова, сильно пострадавшего в первые месяцы войны от атак со стороны Российской Федерации.
Уже несколько месяцев ЮНЕСКО оказывает содействие местным властям в разработке плана реабилитации городского ландшафта. В марте организация возглавила новую миссию, направленную на предоставление руководства, поддержки и методологических инструментов для подготовки плана восстановления.

Эксперты посетили более десятка культурных объектов, в том числе соборы, церкви и пещеры Национального заповедника «Древний Чернигов», а также Драматический театр, в который в 2023 году попала ракета. Команда также оценила городскую структуру, деревянную архитектуру и исторические здания центра города.
Это позволит задокументировать данные о культурных ценностях, которые необходимо сохранить. Кроме того, во время предстоящей миссии ЮНЕСКО и ИКОМОС для получения наилучшего представления об исторических объектах будет использоваться 3D-сканирование.
Целостный подход ЮНЕСКО, ориентированный на исторические городские ландшафты, важен для интеграции политики и практики сохранения антропогенной среды при уважении ценностей и традиций, унаследованных от различных культурных контекстов. В рамках этого подхода, в частности для продвижения диалога и широкого участия в разработке плана реабилитации, эксперты ЮНЕСКО и ИКОМОС встретились со специальной рабочей группой, созданной Министерством культуры и информационной политики Украины.
Вместе с украинскими и международными партнерами, а также при участии правительства Японии, ЮНЕСКО в ближайшие месяцы продолжит поддерживать рабочую группу в разработке плана восстановления, который послужит конкретной дорожной картой для возрождения Чернигова – ключевого городского центра в истории Украины.
