Глава ООН осудил удар по зданию консульства Ирана в Дамаске

Генеральный секретарь ООН осуждает совершенное накануне нападение на дипломатические помещения Исламской Республики Иран в Дамаске. Об этом сообщил во вторник пресс-секретарь главы ООН Стефан Дюжаррик.

«Генеральный секретарь вновь подтверждает, – сказал он, – что принцип неприкосновенности дипломатических и консульских помещений и персонала должен соблюдаться во всех случаях».

По сообщениям СМИ, в результате удара по зданию консульства Ирана в Дамаске погибли семеро членов иранского Корпуса стражей Исламской революции, включая двух генералов. Иран и Сирия обвинили в ударе Израиль.

Антониу Гутерриш во вторник напомнил всем сторонам о необходимости соблюдать свои обязательства по международному праву, включая гуманитарное право. Он также повторил свои призывы ко всем вовлеченным сторонам избегать нападений, которые могут причинить вред гражданскому населению и нанести ущерб гражданской инфраструктуре.

Генеральный секретарь предупредил, что в существующей обстановке любой просчет может привести к расширению конфликта в и без того нестабильном регионе – с разрушительными последствиями для гражданского населения, которое «испытывает беспрецедентные страдания в Сирии, Ливане, на оккупированной палестинской территории и на всем Ближнем Востоке».
