UN Condemns Strike on Odessa Resulting in Tragic Civilian Deaths

  4. UN humanitarian coordinator in Ukraine Denis Brown strongly condemned this attack. “Such repeated and flagrant violations of international humanitarian law are unacceptable,” she said. Humanitarian organizations have been working on-site since yesterday, supporting rapid response efforts, providing medical and psychological assistance, as well as distributing materials for repairing damaged buildings. The strike on Odessa came just two days after a hospital was damaged in an attack on Kharkiv. On April 27, strikes in the west and east of Ukraine damaged energy facilities, leading to power outages.
