Как эффективно избавляться от мусора и расчищать завалы в условиях войны? Программа развития ООН (ПРООН) при поддержке Европейского союза и правительства Японии предоставила необходимое оборудование 19 населенным пунктам по всей Украине.
С начала полномасштабной войны в стране образовались десятки миллионов тонн мусора. Совместно с партнерами ПРООН работает над укреплением потенциала местных сообществ по управлению отходами.
Инициатива ПРООН направлена на решение проблем, с которыми сталкиваются пострадавшие от войны общины. Ее цель – помочь им эффективно вывозить и перерабатывать мусор.
Киевская, Черниговская, Херсонская и Николаевская области получили 52 мусоровоза и 63 единицы тяжелой техники для вывоза мусора: самосвалы, гусеничные и колесные экскаваторы.
В Бучу, Чернигов и Николаев ПРООН доставила оборудование для переработки отходов, которые образуются после сноса зданий, в том числе машины для сортировки и дробления материалов. В Киевскую и Черниговкую область также была отправлена техника для переработки бытовых отходов.
На церемонии передачи оборудования делегаты осмотрели объект по переработке мусора в Буче, созданный при содействии ПРООН и ЕС. Эта инициатива направлена на создание одного из первых в Украине экологически чистых предприятий полного цикла по переработке мусора, способных быстро перерабатывать более 75 тысяч кубических метров отходов.

«Расширяя возможности по управлению отходами на местном уровне, ЕС надеется как можно скорее восстановить нормальную жизнь в сообществах», – сказал представитель ЕС Питер Вагнер.
«Япония рада поддержать эти героические сообщества и области в расчистке завалов и управлении бытовыми отходами», – подчеркнул сотрудник посольства Японии в Украине Ясумаса Иидзима.
Анна Юрченко, заместитель министра развития общин, территорий и инфраструктуры Украины по вопросам европейской интеграции, выразила благодарность ПРООН, Евросоюзу и правительству Японии за поставку оборудования, добавив, что в условиях войны управление отходами стало серьезнейшей проблемой для Украины.
«Во многих населенных пунктах, особенно в тех, которые оказались под оккупацией, базовое коммунальное оборудование разрушено, а оставшееся – устарело и требует ремонта или замены», – сказала Юрченко.
«Их жители остро нуждаются в такой технике для расчистки завалов и мусоровозах, чтобы снова сделать жизнь комфортной и способствовать безопасному возвращению домой перемещенных лиц», – добавила она.
